Due to Lame Duck and other conflicts, the 20th Amendment to the US Constitution changed Inauguration Day from March 4th to January 20th. All Presidents and Vice Presidents are sworn into the office on the January 20th following the US Presidential election results.

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt became the first President to be inaugurated on January 20th, 1937 under the new law, the Twentieth Amendment. It was his second term. 

Each subsequent President was sworn in on January 20th, or sooner if completing a predecessor's term of the office.
